Funny…. Before Christmas we had snow. Now, after Christmas, we have snow… but we didn’t have a white Christmas.

Friday, December 18th, 2009Yesterday when I left home to leave for work it was cold outside and it has been snowing…. It was still dark and I was enjoying the walk to place where I have to get on the bus…
When I suddenly wished I had my SLR camera with me. I saw something very nice.
On a part of the street the snow was still untouched… expect one thing. A woman on high heels had walk there. Her footprints was the only thing that could be seen in the snow. It was a special sight and the light of the lamppost gave it a warm glow.
It tried to make a picture of it with my cellphone, but that was way to weak for that.
Later on I found a nice title for that picture (if I had could have taken it)…. “Tracking women in the wild!”
Snow again?

Strange it is… Last weeks when I traveling from Haaksbergen back to Amsterdam, it is always snowing… this already for several weeks.
I mean this week we had some very nice sunny days, especially for this time of year. Days that one almost could feel the spring in the air…. Again it shows that nature does what it wants and nothing we silly humans can do about it.
Anyway, after Wierden the snow started to disappear again… to reappear in Amsterdam!
(I know the picture above is not sharp. But somehow I like the effect caused by taking this picture through the window of a riding train).
Snow the first time…
Sunday, November 23rd, 2008I am sitting in the train that brings me back to Amsterdam for a new working week. Outside it is dark, but in the light of lantarns and car-lights one can see that it snowing outside… First time of the year. Sure it is still wet snow, but yet it is snow… and even when it is little, it is stays on the ground…
Someone is going to be so happy
