Above is the source code of a “Hello world” program in the programming language Java. It is kinda a tradition that when you start to learn a new language that the first program you make is a “Hello World”-program. A “Hello World” program is a very simple program that writes “Hello World” to the screen.
As said, this example was made in the language Java. I am learning to work in this language because we will be using it a lot in the future. We will rebuild our complete Back Office in it. A enormous task, but what a challenge…
It is nice to learn a new language… and because it is not the first programming language I ever learned, it is not too hard…. yet 🙂
Wow, Java. Are you becoming a script kiddy?
In my Innolan years, Theo laught becourse he thought scripting and VBA was childsplay. Even then it was so powerfull that i could rakeover his Office Word and shutdown his pc just by replacing system pointers anda litte code tickeling a API. That was long ago. These script languages have become even more powerful….. So cool.
And don’t forget:
On Error Resume Next 😛
Yes, these languages are these days very strong, although I still like the languages that deliver a native executable the most. I am a bit concerned about the performance speed of Java, specially when working we large amounts of records. Maybe that Oracle as front-end database will do some gooed here.
Concerning Theo… he was so in favor of Databus, which was not more as an interpreter language.
