Today I heard in the news that after being for 17 years in coma Eluana Englaro passed away. Personally I am happy for her and for the people close to her.
First I think that the change that she would ever wake up again was very small. Would that ever happened, the change of her waking up without any (mental) damage is almost close to zero. And imagine, having a cap of 17 years in your life…
No, I think that it is good that she passed away peaceful like this.
It is sad that religion and politics made such a battle of it. Why? To push through their own opinions. Just wanting to make thier point over the back of others. It is close to disgusting
The Vatican pronounced that they ask those that where in favor of euthanasia will be forgiven by god. I say, I hope that humanity may forgive this religion for letting people suffer so badly…
last week, a lot of people told me that : To Die is to meet God. And you will have to be ready for it.
I say, fine, i spend god a beer if i’ll meet her/him. i will tell god that i have lived my life in a way that i am happy living and that i have no regrets.
No use in living the days in fear of what to come. i do not need to be forgiven.
When i visited England December last. there was a discussion about 2 persons euthanasia in Switserland. they would be sentenced for committing suicide.
In this free world, we like to think we are free. But we are surrounded by prejudice and thick headedness.
