Most people will know that Rob and I are, apart from normal very good friends, also gaming buddies. We like to play online games together and always enjoy it to have a look at a new games.
So when “Pokémon Go” was released we really wanted to have a look at it.
Maybe in short for those that are not familiar with “Pokémon Go”: “Pokémon Go” is a free-to-play, location-based augmented reality game developed by Niantic for mobile phones. In the game, players use a mobile device’s GPS capability to locate, capture, battle, and train virtual creatures, called Pokémon, who appear on the screen as if they were in the same real-world location as the player.
Rob and I both liked the game right from the start. Sure, in the beginning the game had problems, but those were quickly fixed. And mostly we had a big laugh about the annoyed people with their overdone stories.
So one day Rob came with the idea of having a small competition… There was a limited to the number of Pokémon one could collect. I believe it was 150 Pokémon. And Rob’s idea was that the one of us two had as first to maximum of Pokémon collected would win and the loser had to pay for a good dinner for us and our partners. I loved the idea!
But soon we realized that this would not completely honest because there were too many external influences that could change the outcome.
So would changed to the rules to that who had on a certain date the strongest Pokémon would win. Well, that date was yesterday… 30 November 2016!
Yesterday, at midnight, my “Exeggutor” had a score of 2357 combat point… against the “Lapras” of Rob with 1787 combat points…
So this clearly means that I have won this competition. So happily I wait on the invitation of Rob for Marion, Richard and myself. And knowing Rob, the restaurant he will take us to will be very good. I have full confidence in that.
But it feels good to be the winner *evil*
Yeah yeah…. brag about it: You win! *smiles*
And sure, I will find a nice place where the four of us can have a nice dinner together.
Maybe an idea to combine it with a concert or something?
And oh Mariissa, can you tell Richard that I created an account for him? He should get a mail with the details.
Thanks Rob. It works!
