Today I was accused that I couldn’t stand critics…
Now can I not? Hmmm… let see. This person announced his self “being better” loudly, so everyone standing around could hear it.
I still wonder why he has choisen for this approach. If I want to address someone on something like that I wait on the right moment, do it privately and in positive way. Not as an elephant in a porcelain shop…
That he has a different opinion as me, no problem with that. That his opinion differs from common accepted standards and methods, also no problem with that. But that he places his own opinion as the only acceptable, there I have a problem with… a big problem even.
His last remark made me almost laugh… he said that is was not meant negative. With the way he acted it was about the same as first smacking someone hard in the face and then claiming he is really against any violence.
Well, as he addressed me in this way, I have the right to check with others what they think about this. And if those inform why I ask, I tell them why. And with this the person that accused me started to have problems, because these people pushed his remarks away as rubbish.
I always wonder about the reason why people need to act this way… Well, that is something to ponder about on the terrace at “De Markt 2” with a cold glass of beer 😛
Most likely when people bully like that they have a very low self-esteem en they have the need to be confirmed all the time.
I know you, Rob. You can handle critics, when they are justified. But you dislike grondless and incorrect critics. Which is your full right.
May I ask where this is all about?
Oh you are so mean. Pondering at Markt2…….
I agree with Sanne. Some people lack the means to reason, so they become loud and start to scream. Very childish. But that is their problem.
At this moment, i have a problem a little like yours.
A young person i know and who i cherish, has always been told that different is wrong. And that you have to follow the masses. Slowly, but shurely this little person is beginning to understand that different and diverse is not bad, but is what makes us an individual. And that an oppinion of someone else is their oppinion and should be treated as such and nothing more.
As for you, Rob. The way you are the person you are and the way you live and think, despite oppinions of people mentioned in your blog, has always been something i have admired about you.
He, thank you two for your kind words.
@Sanne: It almost too stupid for words. It is about the pictures I made in Belgium. He claims that the pictures he made there are so much better then mine. Now he is of course free to have that opinion, but not with the arguments he used (of which some are completely unrelated). And mostly how he presented his arguments.
He is now pissed off on me… but cause I asked others about this and didn’t agree with him.
@Patrick: May I quess? The oldest daughter of Gerjanne?
And oh… this guy also said that Ellen ten Damme en BZN are about the same. That is of course unforgiveable :).
comparing BZN and Ellen? Unforgivable
Well, that explains everthing 😀
It is here 11 hours earlier as at your place :P.
Anyway, never mind creeps like that, Rob. They always try to make themselves look better as they really are… and no, they don’t mind to talk low about someone else. After all, people like you break their false image of self-esteem. I have seen this so many times before…
Be who you are, Rob… the world couldn’t want more!
