Yesterday, I went for a very nice walk with one of my colleagues. The weather was quite pleasant and perfect for a walk.
We often have good conversations during working hours on various interesting, work-related and non-work-related topics. Unfortunately, these discussions usually end with an “I’m sorry, but I have to go to the next meeting”. Which is too bad, so we decided to take a walk outside of work time.
We wandered around the beautiful town of Nes Aan De Amstel. The total distance covered was about 12km (which for me was a good exercise for the walks we will soon do on Lesvos again).
As we walked our conversation touched a lot of topics, some related work, but most did not. We talked about Greece, India, customs and other things that have our interest.
It’s such a pleasure to meet someone outside of working conditions. No work pressure, no stress, no deadlines… It’s nice to meet people in those circumstances as well.
Really, people who work together should do this kind of things more often. Apart that it is nice to do it, it will help to work better together.
Very nice. Maybe we can go there some time for walk as well. It looks beautiful there.
